Katrina Mathers - concept/producer/host

Katrina has a broad production background having worked for many years with organisations such as the St Kilda Film Festival, Cornerbox, Immediacy, Mullinars, Grananda and ABC TV - where she was origianlly trained in all facets of production and worked on staff in the Comedy and Entertainment departments for many years.

Katrina has run her own company www.longshot.tv, producing and directing a range of corporate, entertainment and comedy material, and editing or authoring DVDs for many years. She has recently set up a new visual effects, animation and digital media studio in Melbourne called The Lampshade Collective.

Katrina also regularly freelances as a director for commercials and music videos and continues to also work as a writer and comic performer. She was a Moosehead Award Recipient at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival for FOOTY CHICKS; a regular cast member of the ABC TV sketch series FLIPSIDE, and is mostly known as the character of 'Sandra Sultry' on the THE WEDGE for Network 10.

Katrina has produced, directed or edited hundreds of hours of content including the regular SKYBUS TV program through 2005-2006 (producer/director) and STANDING UP (Associate Producer), a comedy-documentary series for the ABC. She has received development assistance for various projects through the AFC and Film Victoria, been a commissioned writer for various production companies and producers and had projects selected for participation in the Australian Sitcom Festival and X|Media|Lab.

Katrina is regularly invited to be a guest speaker, teacher, judge or advisor, with organisations and events such as The AFI Awards (TV Grand Jury Member), St Kilda Film Festival, the Rock Esteddfod Grand Finals, Melbourne International Film Festival (Short Film Selection Panel), Melbourne Uni Short Course Program (Tutor), Australian Comedy Awards, Screen Actors' Studio (Tutor) and others.

Her many short films have won awards and screened around the world, including the Tropfest finals in 2003 with THE REFEREES. Her short feature CRAZY RICHARD (co-directed) is distributed on DVD overseas, and she most recently penned the short screenplay NO MAIL for the winning Project Greenlight team.

Katrina is represented as an actor, director and content creator through Stacey Testro International Management.

The Lampshade Collective - visual effects & 3D animation

About the Lampshade Collective:

The Lampshade Collective comprises a team of experienced world-class 3D animators, visual effects specialists and content producers operating out of a boutique studio in Melbourne. The group produce innovative creative work of only the highest standard, catering to the TV Commercial, Film, Television, Games and New Media industries in Australasia.

Combined Lampshade credits cover working on some of the most impressive visual effects and animations of recent years, including "Pirates of the Carribean", "Charlotte's Web", "Star Wars" and the Acadamy Award winning "Happy Feet". They also have extensive collective experience working with live action, comedy, new media, commercial television, games and TVC's

Patrick Sarell:

Over the last seven years Patrick Sarell has worked as a Producer across a variety of projects from Television commercials and computer games to feature film. He's been employed around the world and worked with companies such as Act3 Animation, Tantalus and Animal Logic.

With a view to developing his skills in animation production Pat began studying animation in 2004. This lead to work as a freelance animater and it was this combination of skills that enabled him to make the transition to film production on the Academy Award wining Happy Feet in 2006.

Since then he has been writing and developing animated short films and teaching animation at Holmesglen Tafe. Currently he has an animated short film titled "Nullarbor" in production as part of the Propeller Shorts initiative with Film Victoria.

Patrick is also an accomplished musician with a BA in music from the Victorian College of the Arts.

Daryl Munton:

After studying graphic design in Melbourne, Daryl worked as visual effects artist in Australian companies before leaving for the USA were he became part of effects teams working on such films as Star Wars ep1 and 2, Contact, Perfect Storm, and Kong among others.

He returned to Australia to design and build his families environmentally friendly house before joining several Australian companies to create computer generated imagery for both commercials and film projects, including Charlottes Web were he led a team of talented artists, lighting the main character of the film.

Daryl has been invited to speak at conferences and on discussion panels, speaking to over 500 guests. As a lecturer, he has taught at various colleges around Melbourne, bringing some of his international experience to students back home
