DYLAN
PERRY - INTERACTIVE DESIGNER/WEB DEVELOPER/GRAPHIC DESIGNER
Dylan's
career began in the nascent web design industry. In the
wild west of the World Wide Web (circa 1998) he found himself
designing and implementing the ALP election site. He worked
on the site for many years and it incorporated many cutting
edge technologies such as: streaming video, an interactive
Java game and a custom-built search engine. (Modesty prevents
him from trying to claim responsibility for the outcome
of that election, however).
Though
nepotism played a not insignificant part in securing early
opportunities his (un)natural affinity for technology has
held him in good
stead. Since then he’s been freelancing, primarily
in the area of computer programming and networking. Recently
Dylan has been working with a production company (3-D animation)
which has seen him take on many roles, from system administrator
to production pipeline developer.
Much
of his recent work has been in the arcane art of network
engineering, which sadly produces few visible results…
though network diagrams
are of interest to a few. The result: a high performance
web hosting system running out of a commercial co-location
facility in Melbourne. He is eager to work on more creative
and engaging web based and cross platform delivery projects.
Dylan’s
last foray into web development was the Act3 Animation web
site.
He
has a side project which explores a more creative outlet
of computer programming, it is known to insiders as 'the
demoscene'. The most recent 'scene productions Dylan has
been involved with through disasterarea include: run for
your lives!; we are hfvf65uyhgnfb!; all i want for xmas...;
and .au xmas compo invite 06. They are all examples of real-time
computer generated graphics which can be downloaded and
viewed on any fairly
modern PC.
LEE
BALDWIN - MECHANIC/TECHNICAL ADVISOR, SWIRE AUTOMOTIVE
Lee's
been Katrina's mechanic since she began driving in her Morris
1100 (that cost $30 to buy). He's a top aussie bloke and
he's happy to help out with tips and advice and technical
assistance. He also uses words like "gizmo" and
"oomphf and bang" a lot.
He
doesn't have a website coz he reckons he's busy enough.
