The Wedge Series 1. Produced by Cornerbox for Channel 10. 26 x half hour episodes.


Continuing in post production is Cold an independent supernatural feature film thriller by writer/director Gerard Cogley. Starring Ian Dixon (Guinevere Jones), Katrina Mathers (The Wedge), Ferdinand Hoang (The Quiet American) Dave Grant and Sox Chen.

We've just completed a DVD compilation of material from a trade conference for Esanda Finance.


We've completed a new short film called N for Nelly co-produced with the writers Chris Manson & Nathan Kay. The film stars Stig Weymss, Gerard Cogley, Margie Bainbridge and Nathaniel Kiwi and also features 'Baby' John Burgess - infamous host of Australian "Wheel of Fortune".

December 2006

Another short film of ours N for Nelly, picked up two more awards at Open Channel's Love Your Work screenings at Cinema Nova. We took out the AUDIENCE CHOICE award as well as BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY. Congratulations to Martin Smith for his fine work.

N for Nelly took out both the best RISING STAR film award and the BEST ORIGINAL MUSIC award at the FNI(A) Awards held in Canberra recently. http://fnia.awardspace.com

If you're in Sydney, be sure to get along to Belvoir Street Theatre see our friend Mike McLeish reprising his role of Paul Keating in Company B's extended version of "Keating the Opera".

And also be sure to catch our friend Marney McQueen who's starring in the musical version of Priscilla Queen of the Desert. (Marney played the farmer's wife in The Wedge)

Australian Story screened a special on ABC TV about The Heart of Gold Film Festival which screened N for Nelly recently in Gympie, QLD.

N for Nelly finishes as the highest rated film in the Portable Film Festival! Thanks to everyone who voted!! The videocast is being launched and the final competition winners will be announced this Sunday at LOOP. Come along and join in the fun, it's free: Sunday 22 October 2006 5-9pm

The Melbourne Fringe Festival's over for another year, hope you managed to catch the very funny DeadsHit with Gerard Cogley, and brilliant The Debutante Diaries by Kate McLennan, directed by Fiona Harris which won Best Comedy & the Melbourne Fringe Award. Congratulations.

N for Nelly won best SHORTSHORT film at the Victoria Festival of Motion Image www.victoriafestival.com.au.

We're currently working with Melbourne band Frost to create a clip for their single "Do It In Style". Check out their website: frostband.com.au

We're also putting together showreel DVDs for some Melbourne actors and independent artists. For a demo or a quote, please contact us. Hand over hours of material on whatever format you can get, and we'll edit it and put it together on a professionally authored DVD.

Channel 10's new sketch comedy show The Wedge premiered on air May 30th and is still rating around a million viewers each week. N for Nelly premiered at FilmFest @ Falls and screened the following weekend, at Thredbo as part of the SNOWYfest International Film Festival.

Snatches 06 a series of new short plays by RMIT writers recently performed a piece titled "Still Water" by Katrina Mathers.

Congratulations to Long Shot friends The Drowsy Drivers including Mike McLeish on their Green Room Award nominations for Keating!.

Works by female Australian filmmakers, including some of Katrina Mathers' films screened at a special program at Liverpool Hope University in the UK.

The Italian/Spanish international feature film Move! Where Are You Going? by Pietro Jona includes an Australian section produced by jj splice, co-written and featuring Dean Francis, Dominic McDonald and Katrina Mathers in an integrated story about curiousity, boredom and abonment one afternoon on a suburban train.
